We in the wine industry have been lamenting the fact that Riesling has been the best value and most ignored variety for the last 10 years.  The value for money available in Australia Riesling at the moment is amazing.

I still don't get the whole Clare Calley Riesling thing and think the best ones come out of cool climates.  Portland and High Country Victoria or Tasmania and the Canberra area are producing Rieslings that are really elegant, fruity and enjoyable wines when young which develop well with bottle age.

This wine is a classic cool climate style with zingy lime and floral aromas with a dry, light palate making it a beautifully clean and refreshing drink for a summer's day.

Pay twice as much for half the wine in any of the trendy varieties.
