ReWine moves on
After 12 years at the Preston Market we have taken the plunge and moved into our own shop.
Check out our new premises at
522 Lygon Street Brunswick East.
We have everything that you are used to at The Vic Market and Preston but now you can sit down and have some good winebar food and enjoy a glass of wine in comfort before you take some home.
We still refill and taste everything but now you can have a cheese plate with three pieces of Woodside award winning cheese or our Duck and Mushroom jaffle, which is a hit. We even have Babka Lemon Tart to go with our famous Noble Semillon.
In the last few years we have been getting much more involved in the winemaking of our wines to the point that we are now contracting wines to be made to our specifications and styles.
This year we have just released our first Tempranillo made my Mark Walpole at Beechworth. Google Mark and see how serious he is!
Last year we had a Malbec from Swanpool grown and made by Mark Folletta that went on to win the public choice award at the big Annual Gaucho Gill Malbec Day Melbourne awards. This wine was vintage planned by ReWine to produce a juicy soft drink now style that has been a huge hit.
Last year we had our Nebbiolo Nuovo win a gold medal at the Aust Alternative Varieties Wine show beating wines more than three times it price at $15. It was made for us in the style of a Barbaresco by Paul Bailey who used to be senior red wine maker at Orlando.
Later this year we have a Yarra Chard by Tim Shand and a Beechworth Pinot Noir from Mark Walpole in the pipeline.
Pretty exciting times for our wine quality all at about $20 bucks.
Come up and see Hugo at Lygon Street sometime.
Apologies to Mae West.
